Prior Prenatal Planning:

Meet with the directress of Mother's Care to decide whether our services are right for you. We will come to your home for a complete prenatal consultation and give you the opportunity to discuss your birth plan and desires.

You should also use this opportunity to decide if we are a good "fit" for one another. This meeting usually turns out to be a "mini" childbirth education class.

The fee for this one hour in-home consultation is $50.00. Should you retain our services, this fee will be applied to the balance remainingdue for services. There is a travel fee for in-home consultations in Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties.

Unlimited and Continuous Labor Support: Based on Sliding Fee Scale

Our rates are based on a Sliding Fee Scale according to our client's combined income. We rely on you to tell us your income and we base our fees accordingly. We use a graduated income range and we provide a corresponding fee for service to that income level. We do not verify your income nor do we request evidence thereof.

It is our intention to serve everyone that wants a doula irrespective of ability to pay. We award up to 2 scholarships per calendar month on a case-by-case basis for those women that want a doula but are unable to afford a doula. Our not-for-profit status is pending so that we may award even more scholarships in the near future.

All actual rates are discussed prior to or at the first meeting and are included in our contract for services. Feel free to call us with any questions that you may have.

Here’s how it works: At our first meeting, you tell us your annual income level and we tell you the corresponding rate. All rates can be arranged for payment plans and credit cards arid personal checks are welcome.

Our labor support package includes two or more prenatal visits, with the first visit being the initial consultation and the remaining visits being devoted to the preparation of the birth plan, meetings to discuss and work through questions or fears and other issues that may arise during the pregnancy.

Your labor doula is available to you through unlimited telephonic support during your pregnancy. Once you go into labor, she will either meet you at the site of the birth or come to your home for early labor support and will accompany you and your partner to the site of the birth.

Your doula will remain with you for up to 2 hours following the birth. She will assist you with the initiation of breastfeeding and will continue her care with a follow-up visit in your home 1-2 weeks following your birth.

Prenatal Planning Plus Unlimited and Continuous Labor Support

True continuous support begins here. We offer the labor support services described above in combination with any one of our many prepared childbirth classes either in a small, intimate group setting, or in the comfort of your own home.

Doula Apprentice Program

Receive a $100.00 discount off of your fee for doula services and benefit from the knowledge and caring, continuous support of a Mother's Care doula apprentice. All.of our apprentices are screened prior to entering our apprentice program.

Our apprentices are working on the next step of their doula certification and have received personal instruction from the directress of our company. An experienced doula will meet with you at least once prior to the birth and will be available at all times to answer any questions you may have. The apprentice doula will attend the birth and will provide a follow-up visit 1-2 weeks following the birth of your baby.

Mother's Care Cookies and Cream

Receive the same Cream of the Crop treatment described above. In addition, you will receive 2 additional days of divine doula treatment for 4 hours each day for a total of 12 hours.

During this 3 day period, one of our doulas will run errands, cook, perform light house work and entertain siblings so that you can rest without tending to all of the usual "life" duties of a mother.

We take care of you so that you can heal properly and enjoy your new baby. This is the perfect baby shower gift and is wonderful for families where the partner has to return to work shortly following the birth! This package includes 12 hours of care and is $300.00.

Mother's Care Crème de la Crème

For Those Who Want More! This package includes our Cookies and Cream and then some.

Receive an additional 12 hours of care to be utilized as you see fit and as you need. The care may be used in one day or in several days not to exceed a one week period from the time the original services begin.

In addition, and unlike the two preceding package hours, this package can be utilized during nighttime hours, without any additional charge.

Most newborns haven't read the book on when to sleep yet, so they have their days and nights turned around. This package allows you to sleep at night while your doula cares for your newborn. This package includes 24 hours of care and is $575.00.

Marketplace Mentionables: Postpartum doula services may be purchased at an hourly rate at the rates set forth below.

• Postpartum doula services for 20 hours or more during any 5 day (weekday) period is $20 per hour.
• Postpartum services for 20 hours or less or weekends or holidays are $22 per hour.
• Night time postpartum care is $25 per hour for 20 hours or less and $23 per hour for 20 contract hours or more during any 5 week-day period with a 6 hour minimum and a 10 hour maximum. Night time doula care focuses primarily on baby care only, to insure that baby is properly cared for, while the new parents rest.
• Temporary live-in service is available for 1-4 weeks prior to or following birth.
